Burnett Speech Pathology offers best practice evidence-based speech pathology services from clinics in Kingaroy, Murgon and Nanango. We treat and diagnose communication disorders, including difficulties with speaking, listening, understanding language, reading, writing, social skills, stuttering and using voice. We work with people who have difficulty communicating because of developmental delays, stroke, brain injuries, learning disability, intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, dementia, neuro-degenerative disorders and hearing loss, as well as other problems that can affect speech and language. People who experience difficulties swallowing food and drink safely can also be helped by Burnett Speech Pathology.

Burnett Speech Pathology is owned and operated by Certified Practising Speech Pathologist, Matthew Smith. Matthew has a decade of clinical experience working in various government and NGO settings including hospitals, community health centres, educational settings, aged care facilities, and disability service providers. This experience has been gained while working in Queensland from the South West of the state to Brisbane and north up to Bundaberg. Matthew has maintained regular, ongoing professional development since graduation, as required by Speech Pathology Australia to be eligible to use the title Certified Practising Speech Pathologist.

Matthew’s qualifications include:
